Christos is concurrently working as a postgraduate Research Fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and has, in addition, recently been accepted as a PhD candidate. He has received his BEng in Chemical Engineering from University College London (UCL), a MEng in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University with a full scholarship and a MBA from the University of Cyprus with a partial scholarship.  His professional experience includes work as a research assistant for two years at the University of Texas A&M with a focus on offshore stranded gas monetization channels, work on the European Union’s funded EuroAsia Interconnector and fieldwork placements at Schlumberger’s Drilling Mudplant in Cyprus and Petrofac’s KW in the United Kingdom with a focus on subsea pipeline setting. Christo’s primary research interest focuses on marine corrosion, in-situ real time sensing technology for marine and environmental parameter monitoring as well as statistical analysis in the development of correlations related to the protection of offshore structures affected by seawater pollution and the marine coastal, industrial vicinity in general.
